Recraft

An AI design tool that generates editable vectors, photoreal images and mockups in a consistent style.

Recraft is an AI image model and design platform that produces photorealistic images, illustrations and editable vector graphics. Recraft users write a prompt in Recraft Studio, optionally apply a custom style built from their own reference images, and finish the result with built-in tools such as the vectorizer, mockup generator and background remover.

Best for Graphic designers, brand teams and online sellers who need vector output, such as logos and icon sets, in one consistent style.

What is Recraft?

Recraft is an AI image model and design platform aimed at designers, sellers and creative teams. It generates photorealistic pictures, illustrations and editable vector graphics, and it can set readable typography inside a composition. A custom style is created by dropping in reference images, with no training step, and can then be reused and adjusted across a set of assets. Recraft Studio, the web workspace, combines the company's own models with other frontier models and adds a vectorizer, photo editor, mockup generator, upscaler, background remover and eraser. Developers can call the models through an API that handles generation of images and vectors, edits, inpainting, outpainting and batch jobs. A Free plan is available, and the paid Basic, Pro and Teams plans keep images private and grant commercial rights.

Key Features

Vector Generation

Creates scalable, editable vector artwork directly from a prompt instead of a flat bitmap.

Image Vectorizer

Converts an existing raster image into vector form for further editing.

Reusable Styles

Builds a custom style from images you drop in, with no model training step, and keeps it consistent across outputs.

Design-Ready Typography

Places text in compositions so the result can be used as a finished graphic.

Mockup Generator

Shows a design on products and surfaces to preview how it will look in use.

Editing Toolkit

Includes a photo editor, upscaler, background remover and eraser for finishing work.

Use Cases

Icon Sets
Generate families of icons that share one visual language.

Advertising Creative

Stock-Style Imagery
Create natural-looking photos for websites and presentations.

Things to know

Free plan images are public and non-commercial
Recraft owns whatever is generated on the Free plan, displays it in the community gallery and does not license it for commercial use.
Subscription credits do not roll over
Plan credits do not carry over: the allowance is refreshed when a new billing period begins. Extra credits bought as a top-up on Basic, Pro or Teams stay on the account with no expiry date.
API Units are bought separately
API usage is paid with prepaid API Units that are separate from subscription credits, do not expire and are non-refundable except where the law requires.
Refunds are discretionary
Recraft says it may refund a payment made within the past 30 days if no credits have been used since, and cannot do so after an account is deleted.
