Privacy Policy

This policy explains how TrendHub (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use trendhub.net. The site is operated by [Legal entity name], [Registered address]. For privacy questions, write to [contact email] or use the contact form.
Data we collect
- Comments: the name and comment you submit, and your email address if you provide one. Your email is never published.
- Contact, advertising and listing forms: your name, email address, company and the message you send.
- Technical data: like most websites, our servers and our content delivery provider process your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Abuse prevention: when you submit a form, we store a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself, to limit spam.
- Aggregate statistics (no cookies): we count, in daily totals, page views, clicks on outbound links, searches made on the site, results chosen from a search or from the assistant, the kind of place a visit came from (for example a search engine, an AI assistant, a social network or another website, identified by its domain name only) and the main language reported by the browser. To avoid counting the same visit twice we keep a one-way hash of the IP address for a short time. These counts are not linked to a person.
- Search and assistant text: the words typed into the site search and the questions sent to the on-site assistant are stored in shortened form. Email addresses and long numbers are masked before anything is saved. Please do not type personal information into these boxes.
- Optional analytics cookie (only if you agree): if you accept analytics in the cookie banner, your browser stores a random visitor ID and a session ID. We store them only in hashed form, together with the kinds of pages viewed during a visit, to learn which pages are read together, how visits progress and whether visitors return. They are never combined with your name, email address or any form you send.
You can read the site without an account. We do not ask visitors to register.
Cookies and similar technologies
Without your agreement, our public pages set no cookies for measurement: visits are counted without cookies. A banner asks whether you also accept an analytics cookie. Your answer is remembered in a cookie in your browser, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you refuse or withdraw, the analytics cookies are deleted and the session records linked to that ID are removed. The cookies we set, what each one is for and how long it lasts are listed in our Cookie Policy, together with those of third-party services. Reading mode and the assistant panel keep their state in your browser’s own storage; that information stays on your device.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads, including personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.
Other services we use
- Cloudflare: content delivery, security and, on forms, the Turnstile check that distinguishes people from bots.
- YouTube: videos on tool pages load only after you click play, from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain. Once you play a video, YouTube processes data under its own policy.
- Translation and AI providers: used to prepare content. Visitor personal data is not sent to them.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination website may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase. We receive only aggregated reports from partner programmes, not information that identifies you.
Why we process data and on what basis
- To publish your comment or answer your message: because you asked us to (performance of a request, or consent).
- To run and secure the site and prevent abuse: our legitimate interest in a working, safe service.
- To count visits in aggregate, without cookies, and understand which content is useful: our legitimate interest in improving the site.
- To set the analytics cookie and record how a visit progresses: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To show personalised advertising where applicable: your consent.
- To comply with the law: legal obligation.
How long we keep data
- Published comments: until you ask us to remove them or the page is removed.
- Messages sent through forms: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Hashed IP records for spam prevention: up to 30 days.
- Short-lived hashes used to avoid double counting: about one day.
- Search words and the results chosen: up to 180 days. Questions sent to the assistant: up to 30 days.
- Session records of visitors who accepted analytics: up to 90 days; the hashed visitor ID is removed after about 13 months without a visit, or as soon as you withdraw consent.
- Daily totals that contain no personal data may be kept longer.
- Server logs: as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, normally no more than 90 days.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, content delivery and advertising providers, and when the law requires it. Some providers process data outside your country; where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, to data portability and to complain to a data protection authority. This includes rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). To use these rights, contact us; we may need to verify your identity.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
