Londrina Solid is a display typeface whose letters look cut or painted by hand: verticals lean slightly, edges wobble, and counters are small and irregular. Its designer, Marcelo Magalhães, writes that the project began in the streets of São Paulo, first as capitals drawn for a poster, and grew into a family with lowercase that recalls the city's everyday informal writing. Londrina Solid is the main style of a larger Londrina group whose Shadow and Outline versions can be combined with it for layered effects. The family has four weights: Thin, Light, Regular and Black. Thin is a wiry line, Regular is already heavy, and Black is heavier still. There are no italics and it is not a variable font. Each font has 231 glyphs covering basic Latin with Western European accents. The license is the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
