Bangers is a display typeface that imitates hand-lettered comic-book titles. The letters are heavy, tightly packed and slanted forwards, with wedge-shaped strokes that look cut with a brush or marker; stems swell and taper instead of keeping one thickness, which adds to the hand-made effect. The specimen shows that the lowercase keys produce capitals too, so every word is set in capitals. Numerals and punctuation follow the same slant and weight, including a fat exclamation mark and question mark. Bangers has one style, Regular 400, and is not a variable font. The font holds 593 glyphs and covers Latin, Latin Extended and Vietnamese. Vernon Adams is credited as the designer, and the copyright notice names The Bangers Project Authors. The license is the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
