Amatic SC is a hand-drawn typeface in which every letter is a capital: typing lowercase gives slightly shorter small capitals, which is what the SC in the name stands for. The letters are tall and very narrow, drawn with a thin, wobbly line that keeps the unevenness of a pen; stems lean a little and stroke ends are rounded. The numerals and punctuation follow the same loose hand. Two weights are available, Regular 400 and Bold 700, without italics. According to the official description, Vernon Adams drew the original Latin, Ben Nathan designed the Hebrew and revised the Latin, and Thomas Jockin redid the spacing and kerning. Its 839 glyphs cover Latin, Latin Extended, Cyrillic, Hebrew and Vietnamese. Amatic SC was conceived as a web font for titling and brief text, and it is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
