Lato is a sans serif typeface family whose name means “summer” in Polish. Łukasz Dziedzic started it in 2010 for a client's corporate identity; when that client chose another direction, the family was released to the public. The design aims to stay unobtrusive in running text while showing more individual shapes at larger sizes: the capitals follow classical proportions, and stroke ends and joins are slightly rounded, which warms an otherwise firm structure. The family has five weights, Thin, Light, Regular, Bold and Black, each with an italic, 10 styles as static files; it is not a variable font. The files in this package hold 3,023 glyphs and identify themselves as version 2.015, so they cover languages such as English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Czech and Hungarian, along with Cyrillic and Greek letters.
Latin and Latin Extended characters in the preview subset; the complete family has 3,023 glyphs.
The family contains the core letters these languages are written with:
Writing systems with glyphs in the family besides Latin: Cyrillic, Greek. These are listed as scripts, not as a promise for every language written in them.
Character sets found in the files: cyrillic, greek, latin, latin-ext, vietnamese. The language list is a check of required letters against the font, not a promise of typographic quality in each language.

Suggestions come from simple rules on the records: a contrasting classification and enough weights to carry body text. They are a starting point, not a verdict.
Download the family and host the files on your own site, then declare them in CSS. Please do not link to the files on trendhub.net: preview files here are subsets and their addresses change.
