About Sunshiney

Sunshiney is a handwriting typeface in which the capitals do the decorating. A, C, J, K and S begin or end in tight spiral curls, while the lowercase is a plainer upright print hand with small hooks on r and y. The line is of even thickness with softly uneven edges, like a felt marker on paper, and the figures share the loose, rounded drawing. The official notes sum it up as a ray of hand-crafted goodness. Sunshiney has one Regular style and is not a variable font; its 229 glyphs cover the basic Latin set. The family is credited to Sideshow, the name table lists Squid as designer, and the copyright belongs to Font Diner, Inc. Sunshiney is published under the Apache License 2.0.

Where Sunshiney works

Birthday and party cards
Spiral curls on the capitals turn a name or a greeting into the decoration of the card.
Children's books and classroom posters
Round, unjoined lowercase letters stay easy to recognise while the curled capitals add play.
Craft and bakery labels
The uneven marker edge gives a product name a handmade look.
Social media quotes
A short phrase with a curled initial reads as cheerful hand lettering over a photo or a flat colour.
