Sigmar One is a casual display typeface by Vernon Adams, based on lettering from the advertising pages of mid-twentieth-century pulp magazines. Sigmar One has one very heavy Regular style where small capitals replace lowercase, and 582 glyphs for Latin, Latin Extended and Vietnamese. Sigmar One is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and suits posters and headlines.

Sigmar One is a display face of extreme weight and deliberately loose drawing. In the specimen the strokes are so thick that the counters of A, B, O and R shrink to slits, the letter edges are slightly uneven, and stems lean at small, inconsistent angles, as if cut by hand. Typing lowercase gives smaller capitals instead of true lowercase forms, and the ampersand is drawn as a joined Et. The official notes call it a casual, display-only web font whose design draws on advertising type in pulp magazines of the mid twentieth century. The family consists of one Regular 400 file and is not a variable font. Its 582 glyphs cover Latin, Latin Extended and Vietnamese. Vernon Adams designed Sigmar One, published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Download the family and host the files on your own site, then declare them in CSS. Please do not link to the files on trendhub.net: preview files here are subsets and their addresses change.
