Poller One is a display sans serif drawn in a single heavy style. The letters are semi-extended, and thick vertical strokes meet much thinner horizontals and joins, a contrast seldom seen in a sans this dark. Stroke ends flare a little, the lowercase g is a two-storey form with a small ear, and the counters of a, e and o narrow to slits and small ovals. The official notes trace the style to hand lettering on German posters from the early twentieth century and, because of the contrast, recommend it from medium sizes upwards. The family has one Regular style and is not a variable font. Its 232 glyphs cover the basic Latin set; French is complete except for the rare capital Ÿ. Yvonne Schüttler is the designer, the copyright notice names Sorkin Type Co, and the license is the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
