About Inter Tight

Inter Tight is a sans serif family that takes the letterforms of Inter and sets them closer together. The official description calls it a specialised version of Inter for display usage: spacing that suits small text looks loose in a headline, and this cut closes it up. The shapes themselves stay those of Inter, with a tall lowercase, even strokes and plain, open forms. Roman and italic are each a variable font with a single axis, weight, from 100 to 900, which yields nine named weights and 18 styles. Inter Tight has no optical size axis. The fonts hold 2,542 glyphs and cover Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese, including the extended Cyrillic and Greek ranges. Rasmus Andersson is the designer, the copyright notice names The Inter Project Authors, and the family was added to Google Fonts in 2022.

Inter Tight uses the letterforms of Inter. The change is in how closely the letters are set.

Each file has a weight axis from 100 to 900 and no optical size or width axis.
