About Fuzzy Bubbles

Fuzzy Bubbles is a handwriting typeface with separate letters that wobble as if written quickly by a young hand. Strokes are monoline with round ends, crossbars overshoot their stems on A, F and H, and bowls are loose, uneven ovals. The lowercase is wide and open, with a single-storey a, and letters differ slightly in size and lean from one to the next. Numerals and punctuation follow the same uneven pen line. The official description calls the style juvenile and names children's parties as its natural setting. The family has Regular 400 and Bold 700; it is not a variable font and has no italic. Its 613 glyphs cover the Latin character sets for Western and Central European languages, plus Vietnamese. Robert Leuschke is credited as designer, and the fonts are published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Where Fuzzy Bubbles works

Children's party invitations
The wobbling pen line reads as a child's own writing on birthday invitations and thank-you cards.
Classroom posters and worksheets
Bold sets the title and Regular the instructions, both in the same hand-printed style.
Comic captions and stickers
Wide, open lowercase letters keep a short caption readable inside a bubble or on a sticker.
Scrapbooks and photo notes
Uneven letter sizes give dates and comments beside photographs a handwritten look.
Cards in Vietnamese
Vietnamese diacritics are included, so the same hand serves cards and labels in that language.
