About Stardos Stencil

Stardos Stencil is a display typeface that cuts a high-contrast serif into stencil form. Thick vertical stems, thin flat serifs and ball terminals belong to a modern-style serif, while narrow gaps interrupt the bowls, arches and joins as they would on a physical stencil plate. The breaks are thin, so words remain easy to read and the stencil effect shows most at large sizes. Lowercase letters are included, along with numerals whose curves are broken in the same way. The official description presents it as a serif stencil intended purely for display use on the web, in browsers on desktop and mobile devices alike. The family has two weights, Regular and Bold, and no italics; it is not a variable font. Each font has 306 glyphs covering basic Latin and Western European accents. Vernon Adams is the designer, and the license is the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
