Rajdhani is a sans serif family with modular, squared letterforms that covers both Latin and Devanagari. In the specimen the bowls of o, d and p have straight vertical sides, the letters are narrow, and stroke ends are cut flat, either horizontally or vertically; the official notes add that corners are slightly rounded so the endings look softer. The same notes say the look may be read as technical or futuristic. The family has five weights, Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Bold, each supplied as a separate static file, with no italic. Each font holds 1,043 glyphs across the Latin, Latin Extended and Devanagari subsets. Rajdhani comes from Indian Type Foundry: the Devanagari is the work of Satya Rajpurohit and Jyotish Sonowal, and Shiva Nalleperumal drew the Latin. It is published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
