Numans is a sans serif typeface that its designer calls a modern grotesque with open forms. In the specimen the letters are wide, strokes keep an almost even thickness, and the points where stems meet curves are slightly rounded; the c, e and s end with wide openings, the t and f have short crossbars, and the capital Q carries a flat tail under the bowl. The designer notes that the name grew out of the word “Humans”, and that Numans resembles his bolder font Days One. The family has one Regular style, with no bold or italic, and is not a variable font. Its 243 glyphs cover the basic Latin set, which includes the letters for languages such as German, Spanish and French. Jovanny Lemonad designed Numans, and it is published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 with Numans as a Reserved Font Name.
