Karma is a two-script family in which Devanagari and Latin share one near-monoline construction: strokes barely change in thickness, and stroke ends are rounded. The Latin, as the specimen shows, has blunt slab-like serifs with softened corners, narrow letters and a tall x-height, which keeps lines economical. The Devanagari has closed, knotted terminals yet leaves open space inside the letters. Five static weights are supplied, Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Bold, with no italics and no variable version in the package. The fonts contain 1,102 glyphs, covering Devanagari together with Latin and Latin Extended. Karma was drawn by Joana Correia, and the Indian Type Foundry first published it in 2014. The family was developed with on-screen body text in mind and is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

The family contains the core letters these languages are written with:
Writing systems with glyphs in the family besides Latin: Devanagari. These are listed as scripts, not as a promise for every language written in them.
Character sets found in the files: devanagari, latin, latin-ext. The language list is a check of required letters against the font, not a promise of typographic quality in each language.
