About Bubblegum Sans

Bubblegum Sans is a display typeface whose letters look painted with a loaded brush. In the specimen the strokes swell and taper, stems lean slightly in different directions and the lowercase bounces above and below the baseline, so a word never sits in a rigid row. The weight is heavy for a face labelled Regular, and the capitals stay compact, with a looped Q and a narrow E and F. According to the official notes, Angel Koziupa designed it and Alejandro Paul produced it at Sudtipos as a modern nod to the commercial lettering of the 1930s. The family is a single Regular style of 237 glyphs covering the basic Latin character set. It is not a variable font, and it is published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Where Bubblegum Sans works

Sweets and snack packaging
Thick brush strokes and a bouncing baseline give a product name on a wrapper or pouch the look of hand-painted lettering.
Children's books and games
Uneven stems and rounded stroke ends keep titles and covers for young readers informal.
Shop window and menu headings
The 1930s sign-lettering reference fits specials boards, cafe menus and sale banners set in a few words.
Cartoon and video titles
A heavy single weight stays visible over illustrations and bright backgrounds in thumbnails and title cards.
