About Belleza

Belleza is a sans serif whose strokes swell and thin the way a serif face does, although the letters carry no serifs. The official notes call it a humanist sans inspired by fashion, with classic proportions, high stroke contrast and specially shaped counters. In the specimen the capitals follow Roman widths, with a broad round O and Q beside a narrow E, F and S; stems flare slightly at their ends, and the lowercase a and e have small, tilted counters. Eduardo Tunni is the designer; the font's name table gives his full name as Eduardo Rodriguez Tunni. The family is one Regular style, with no bold or italic, and it is not variable. Its 424 glyphs cover the Latin and Latin Extended subsets, and the notes record a language-support update in June 2022. The license is the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Where Belleza works

Fashion and beauty headings
The thick-thin modulation that the notes tie to fashion gives a title elegance without adding serifs.
Mastheads and site titles
Roman capital proportions make a name set in capitals look measured and wide.
Boutique and salon branding
Flared stroke ends and small tilted counters give a short name its own character on a sign or card.
Lookbook captions and menus
Short lines at medium sizes keep the stroke contrast visible beside photographs.

Fonts that pair with Belleza

Averia Serif Libre Serif

Belleza is sans serif and Averia Serif Libre is serif (3 weights): the difference in structure separates headings from text.

Bitter Slab Serif

Belleza is sans serif and Bitter is slab serif (9 weights): the difference in structure separates headings from text.

Fira Mono Monospace

Fira Mono is a monospace family (3 weights) for code and figures next to Belleza as the text face.

Suggestions come from simple rules on the records: a contrasting classification and enough weights to carry body text. They are a starting point, not a verdict.

Use Belleza on the web

Download the family and host the files on your own site, then declare them in CSS. Please do not link to the files on trendhub.net: preview files here are subsets and their addresses change.

  src: url("/assets/fonts/Belleza-Regular.ttf") format("truetype");
  font-weight: 400;

Things to know

Regular only
There is no bold or italic. A hierarchy has to be built with size, capitals and spacing, or with a second family.
Thin strokes at small sizes
The contrast seen in the specimen means the thin parts of letters become faint in small text.
Latin subsets only
Belleza covers Latin and Latin Extended. Cyrillic and Greek are not included.
