Antic is a sans serif typeface by Santiago Orozco, published under the Typemade name. The designer's notes describe it as the outcome of studying calligraphic forms: the letters drop the serifs but keep a pen-like stress of eight degrees, which he compares to the angle of his own handwriting. In the specimen that shows as strokes that thin slightly where curves meet stems, a light overall weight, and terminals cut at a slant on letters such as a, c and e. Capitals are narrow and the J and Q descend below the baseline. According to the same notes Antic is the sans member of a planned pair of text families, with a serif counterpart. This release is a single Regular style of 216 glyphs covering basic Latin, and it is not a variable font.
