Hi3D

AI platform that turns text or images into 3D models and prepares them for 3D printing.

Hi3D is an AI platform that turns a text prompt or one or more images into an editable 3D model and prepares that model for 3D printing. Hi3D is used by uploading a picture, generating the model, and then exporting it in formats such as STL or GLB or sending it straight to a slicer.

Best for 3D printing hobbyists, makers and artists who want printable figurines, gifts, props or prototypes without modelling them by hand.

What is Hi3D?

Hi3D is an AI 3D creation platform that converts a text prompt or one or more images into a detailed, editable 3D model. It leans strongly towards makers: once a model exists, the tool can divide it into parts with connectors, separate colour regions for multi-colour printing, arrange the pieces for printing and hand the file to slicers such as Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or Creality Print. Models export as STL, OBJ, 3MF, GLB and USDZ for further work in other 3D software. People without a printer can order a physical print that Hi3D produces and ships. A template workshop builds figurines from a single photo, and an API allows businesses to add 3D generation to their own products.

Key Features

Image to 3D

Reconstructs shape and surface detail from a picture, filling in geometry the photo does not show.

Concept Images

Generates or edits a reference image first, using models such as Nano Banana and GPT Image 2.

Split to Print

Cuts a complex model into separate parts and adds connection structures for assembly.

Multi-Colour Preparation

Detects colour areas and their borders and matches them to filaments.

Slicer Hand-Off

Chooses an orientation and layout, then sends the model to the slicer you already use.

Print-and-Deliver Service

Prints a chosen model in your selected material and size and delivers it.

How Hi3D works

  1. Upload an image

Provide a sharp, evenly lit picture in which the whole subject is visible against a plain backdrop. JPG, PNG and WebP are accepted, and extra views help when the sides or back matter.

  2. Generate the model

Start the generation once the upload is in place. The site says a usable model can be ready in roughly two minutes.

  3. Edit or print

Export the result for further work in other 3D software, or pass it to a slicer such as Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or Creality Print and print it.

Use Cases

Figurines and Collectibles
Turn character art or a pet photo into a printable figure.
Personalised Gifts
Create keepsakes and portrait busts from a single photograph.
Game and Animation Assets
Generate characters and props as base models for further refinement.
Product Prototypes
Convert a product sketch into a 3D form for early review.
Cosplay Props
Build wearable pieces and gear with fine surface detail.

Things to know

Subscription credits do not roll over
Subscription credits must be used before the billing period they belong to ends. Separately sold credit packs have no expiry, though buying them requires an active subscription.
Free-plan models need attribution
Models made on the Free plan fall under a free asset license that requires attribution, while paid plans permit private and commercial use.
Renewals are not refunded
A subscription can be cancelled before it renews, but the site says a renewal charge that has already gone through is not refunded.
Failed tasks return credits
Credits are returned automatically when a task fails for a system reason, and each plan includes between 3 and 15 free retries.
