Greptile
AI code review agent that indexes a repository and comments on pull requests with whole-codebase context.
Greptile is an AI code review agent that examines pull requests using a graph index of the whole repository. Greptile is used by connecting a code host such as GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket; it then comments on each new pull request with suspected bugs, security risks and style issues, and learns team conventions from reviewers' comments.
Best for Engineering teams that want automated first-pass review on every pull request, including bugs that span several files.

What is Greptile?
Greptile is an AI code reviewer that analyses pull requests with knowledge of the entire codebase, not only the changed lines. After a repository is connected, it builds a graph of files, functions and dependencies; when a pull request opens, several agents work in parallel to examine the change, judge its effect elsewhere and post comments. Findings range from style violations to security risks and logic errors crossing multiple files. Teams can write their own rules in plain English, and the tool adapts by reading the comments engineers leave on pull requests. A beta component called TREX runs the branch in a sandbox to find problems that only appear at runtime. Issues can be passed to coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Devin for fixing. Plans are a free Starter tier, a per-seat Pro tier and Enterprise with self-hosting.
Key Features
Codebase Graph Index
Maps a repository's files, functions and dependencies so reviews account for code outside the diff.
Parallel Review Agents
Assigns several agents to each pull request to inspect changes and flag issues as review comments.
Custom Rules
Enforces standards a team writes in plain English, with repo-specific context attached.
Learning from Comments
Reads engineers' pull request comments over time to pick up the team's coding conventions.
TREX Runtime Validation
Executes the pull request branch in a sandbox to catch faults that show up only when code runs; currently in beta.
Agent Hand-Off
Passes the details of a flagged issue to a coding agent such as Cursor, Devin, Codex or Claude Code, and offers an MCP server and a CLI.
How Greptile works
Connect a repository
Link a code provider and enable the repositories to be reviewed.
Greptile indexes the code
A graph of files, functions and dependencies is built for the repository.
Agents review each pull request
Parallel agents inspect the change, assess its wider impact and post comments.
Fix and iterate
Send an issue to a coding agent or your IDE, and let the tool learn from the team's responses.
