Airbyte
Open-source data movement platform that replicates data from 700+ sources and exposes it to analytics and AI agents.
Airbyte is an open-source data movement platform. Airbyte replicates records from more than 700 source systems into a warehouse, lake or other storage, adds a Context Store for semantic search across that data, and gives AI agents connectors for reading from and writing back to business applications. Airbyte runs as a managed cloud, hybrid or self-hosted deployment.
Best for Data and AI teams that need many maintained connectors and want control over where pipelines and data physically run.

What is Airbyte?
Airbyte is a data integration platform built around an open-source core. Its main job is replication: pulling data out of more than 700 supported systems and loading it into a destination the customer chooses, whether a cloud warehouse, a private cloud or on-premises storage. On top of replication the company describes two further layers. The Context Store resolves entities and provides semantic search over the consolidated data, and an agent layer lets AI agents discover connectors, retrieve information and write changes back to tools such as Salesforce or Slack. A hybrid deployment option keeps the data plane, credentials and encryption keys inside the customer's environment while Airbyte operates the control plane, which receives configuration and job metadata. Paid cloud plans are metered in credits or priced by compute capacity, and a self-hosted open-source edition called Airbyte Core is also available.
Key Features
700+ connectors
Provides a maintained library of source and destination connectors, plus a Connector Builder for custom ones.
Data replication
Moves data into warehouses, lakes and vector databases with change data capture and schema propagation.
Context Store
Adds entity resolution and semantic search that sits above the warehouse.
Agent connectors
Lets AI agents fetch, search and write to connected systems through the same connector library.
Hybrid deployment

Use Cases
- Centralising SaaS data
- Sync CRM, support and billing records into one warehouse for reporting.
- Feeding AI agents

- Regulated environments
- Keep records and credentials inside your own infrastructure with in-boundary deployment.
- Replacing custom pipelines
- Swap hand-written extraction scripts for maintained connectors.
- Python data work
- Use PyAirbyte to load connector data directly inside Python code.
Things to know
- Two pricing models
- Standard and Plus bill by data volume through credits, whereas Pro and Enterprise Flex are priced on compute capacity measured in Data Workers.
- Sync frequency depends on plan
- The fastest schedule is hourly on Standard, every 15 minutes on Plus and every 5 minutes on the two enterprise tiers.
- Support hours differ
- Standard has portal support with no SLA during US Eastern business hours; higher plans add response-time commitments.
