Sora is a sans serif whose name means sky in Japanese. It was commissioned for the Sora project of Soramitsu, a Japanese technology company working on blockchain development. The official notes describe hints of low-resolution and early screen typography reworked for present-day displays. In the specimen the lowercase is very tall, ascenders are short, and the counters of a, e and o are wide and open, which makes the alphabet broad. The family is a variable font with one axis, weight, from 100 to 800, and eight named weights: Thin, ExtraLight, Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold and ExtraBold. It has no italics. The font contains 512 glyphs for the Latin and Latin Extended character sets. Jonathan Barnbrook and Julián Moncada are the designers, Barnbrook Fonts is the manufacturer, and the license is the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Suggestions come from simple rules on the records: a contrasting classification and enough weights to carry body text. They are a starting point, not a verdict.
Download the family and host the files on your own site, then declare them in CSS. Please do not link to the files on trendhub.net: preview files here are subsets and their addresses change.
