What is Talers?

Talers is a writing tool aimed at authors of books, novels, scripts and articles. A project is split into as many text files as you like, arranged in folders you define, with notes kept beside the manuscript. The editor has a focus mode that strips the screen back for concentration. A proofreader flags spelling, grammar and style problems and proposes alternatives, and a thesaurus of synonyms and rhymes is available inside the app. Pro features also include rephrasing sentences or paragraphs and translating documents into 29 languages. Projects sync between desktop, tablet and mobile, can be shared with collaborators and readers for feedback, and remain usable offline because a local copy is kept. Writing statistics, goals with rewards and flexible export complete the feature set.

Key Features

Project Organisation

Divides a manuscript into separate files and sorts them into customisable folders.

Proofreader

Detects spelling mistakes on the free plan and adds grammar and style checks with suggested fixes on Pro.

Thesaurus and Rhymes

Lets you look up synonyms and rhymes without leaving the editor.

Rephrase and Translate

Rewrites a sentence or paragraph and translates documents into 29 languages.

Sync and Offline Mode

Keeps projects aligned across devices and saves a local copy for writing without a connection.

Statistics and Goals

Reports figures such as average sentence length, readability and writing frequency, and tracks objectives.
