## About Bakbak One

Bakbak One is a display sans serif drawn at a single heavy weight. Its letters are wide, with round shapes squared off towards a rounded rectangle and arches that spring from the stems in a humanist manner, as on the n, m and h of the specimen. Counters stay open despite the weight, and stroke ends are cut flat. The official notes explain that it was commissioned as the brand typeface of All India Bakchod for headings, video titles and posters, and describe its voice as loud yet neutral enough for anything from a warning to a joke. The font file contains 1,048 glyphs covering Latin, Latin Extended and Devanagari. Saumya Kishore and Sanchit Sawaria designed it, and the name table gives the studio as A Good Feeling.

## Where it works

- **Video titles and thumbnails**: It was made for exactly this: a heavy line of text that stays readable on a small video preview.
- **Posters in Hindi and English**: Devanagari and Latin are drawn at the same heavy weight, so both languages carry equal emphasis.
- **Meme and social captions**: Wide, dark letters with open counters stay clear when overlaid on images.
- **Warnings and announcements**: The notes describe the voice as neutral enough to deliver a serious notice as well as a joke.

## Things to know

- **One heavy style**: Bakbak One has a single style, registered as Regular 400 but drawn as a heavy display weight. There is no italic.
- **Devanagari included**: The Devanagari script is part of the same file as the Latin.
- **Glyph count**: The current file holds 1,048 glyphs, more than the figure quoted in the original release notes.
