## What is Summrs?

Summrs is an AI content creation tool built around ready-made templates. A user uploads a photo or a video, then either selects a template or describes the desired look in plain English, and the service returns the edited result. The template library covers dance transfer, character and person swaps, talking personas and other short-video formats, and the site says additions arrive weekly. Beyond templates, Summrs lists AI portraits, colour grading, batch editing, object removal, photo restoration and colourising of black-and-white pictures. Output is intended for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Stories. Progress is displayed while a job runs, and photos generally finish sooner than videos. The service runs on credits: a new account receives 50 without entering a card, and more are obtained through a subscription or a one-off top-up.

## Key features

- **Template library**: Offers a catalogue of video and photo templates that are applied to your upload in a few steps.
- **Dance transfer**: Animates the person in an uploaded image using the motion from a dance template.
- **Swap templates**: Includes person, character and gender swap formats for video.
- **AI colour grading**: Adjusts colour and exposure automatically and can process a batch of photos together.
- **Text-described edits**: Accepts a written description of the look you want instead of sliders or presets.
- **Credit system**: Charges each template a set number of credits, drawn from a subscription or a top-up balance.

## How Summrs works

1. **Upload**: Add the photo or video you want to transform.
2. **Choose a template or describe the look**: Select a format from the library or write what you want in plain English.
3. **Get the result**: The AI applies the effect, shows progress as it runs and delivers the finished file.

## Use cases

- **Joining a short-video trend**: A creator puts their own photo into a currently popular dance format.
- **Grading a photo set**: A photographer applies a consistent colour treatment to many images at once.
- **Restoring family pictures**: Someone repairs and colourises an old black-and-white print.
- **Product shots**: A small brand removes unwanted objects or places a product into a scene.
- **Animating a pet**: A user makes a short clip from a still picture of an animal.

## Things to know

- **Credits are required**: Templates start at 10 credits each according to the FAQ, and the free grant is 50.
- **Video takes longer**: Processing time depends on the template and is usually shorter for photos than for video.
- **Templates reference public figures**: Several templates on the home page are named after musicians or films; the home page itself does not explain rights or consent rules, which sit in the linked terms.
